All the positions in EFC were designed with intention and are shaped by our experiences with the goals and mission of this collective in mind. We recognize from experience that when individuals take on too many goals and responsibilities, it can lead to burnout, and also ultimately result in not much being accomplished at all. For this reason, every volunteer in EFC has a focused and singular role to play to avoid any individual from taking on too much and allowing for all people to play a meaningful role.

Utilizing horizontal organization, the committees allow for members to be a part of their own smaller community that will meet together and ensure all tasks are being completed. All committees and roles also have their own creative name to reflect the part that they play in our family.

This page is here to guide you with the information you need to know about each of the committees and their corresponding roles as you begin your journey in EFC. This page will remain a reference for you, even after your first 3 months, for you to look back on as a refresher or if you are curious about roles and committees beyond your own.

We understand that these positions may change, and roles may be further added as needs arise; this page will be edited to reflect any changes.

Volunteer eligibility and expectations are discussed separately here: Volunteer Eligibility & Expectations.
